Collections receive a thorough analysis every year with the Annual Review. The Annual Review notes significant critical, institutional, and commercial developments in an artist's career over the past year and includes written analysis connecting these milestones to the artist's career and production to date.

Flow Advisory

After beginning her career at MoMA PS1, Heather Flow founded Flow Advisory as a type of collecting laboratory. Flow is dedicated to collaborating with clients to create and maintain inventive and dynamic private collections.

Heather Flow helps clients break free from uniform collecting norms and to embrace a more complex approach to collecting. For Flow and her clients, building a collection is not simply the act of accumulation.

Collection Care

Assuming professional, legal and ethical responsibilities of stewardship, Flow Advisory maintains contemporary art collections. For the firm, preserving artistic intention and medium integrity are foundational to protect against risk and loss.

Through this lens of stewardship and preservation, Flow Advisory oversees framing, lighting, and installation; The firm pays particular attention to associative placement and circulation. Additionally, Flow Advisory provides annual condition reports, facilitates conservation treatments, as well as overseeing loans, transportation, and storage logistics.

Heather Flow is Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Compliant and an accredited member of the Appraisers Association of America. Fair Market and Retail Replacement Value of contemporary art fluctuate: maintaining current appraisals is necessary to fully protect a collection. Flow generates insurance, damage and loss, estate planning, and family division appraisals.
